If there's anything i miss in the west side, it's the grilled sandwiches. The grilled cheese sandwich at Bottle Rock in Culver City is simple yet extraordinarily tasty. For that alone, I'm looking forward to the opening of the Downtown Bottle Rock.

The one joint that downtown really needs to have is MeltDown. I mean, really. Everytime we go there, we always try to mention that they would make a killing in Downtown. If this place had franchise opportunities, we would be so down. Occassionally, we'd take the dogs to the Bone Yard and wait it out until Meltdown opens at 11am.

A few weeks before we moved to downtown, I went on a "meltdown farewell tour". My goal was to try all the grilled sandwiches, at least the ones on the front side of the menu. Yes, I did succeed. The market melt is my favorite...

Dear Meltdown,

Please bring your gooey melty grilled sammiches and all its deliciousness to Downtown Los Angeles. I eagerly await your arrival.
